PM’s plan only way forward on a narrow time schedule

-

THERESA May’s EU exit agreement might not be ideal, but barring crashing out with no deal or applying to stay in, it’s the only option available in the time remaining (“Crunch time for Brexit as PM puts deal on table”, November 14).

I see the opposition parties and Tory rebels behaving live passengers on a long train journey, still arguing whether they are on the right train or whether they should have started out at all, as the train is approaching its destination.

Conservatives and the DUP must now pull together and support this exit agreement to allow the Government to get on with the real goal of brokering excellent trade deals with the EU and the rest of the world.

The alternative would be a Government defeat, a general election and a Marxist Corbyn Government, with Britain staying in the EU in all but name. Roy Daniels, Luton, Beds
