ALAN’S TIP OF THE DAY:

Check on bulbs being forced in the shed. Water sparingly if the compost starts drying out and protect them from pests. Don’t rush to bring them indoors; wait till buds form and show their first tinge of colour, which won’t be for several weeks yet.
