Jadon hitting great heights

- Adrian Kajumba

SKY is the limit for Jadon Sancho, according to fellow wonderkid Christian Pulisic.

Sancho is poised to make his first England start in the friendly against the USA, which would see him come up against Borussia Dortmund team-mate Pulisic, the poster boy of American football.

Pulisic, 20, arrived at Dortmund in 2015 and has seen Sancho, 18, take the Bundesliga by storm after joining last summer from Manchester City. “The sky is the limit for a guy like him. You can see how much talent and how much skill he has,” said Pulisic.

“He has done great for Dortmund so far this season. Hopefully he will continue on this path.

“He is a young guy with a lot of talent. He is being a bigger part of the team now and is doing a great job with that. I went through the exact same things as him. Whenever he is going through a tough time he knows I have been through situations like that. He knows to talk to me.”

Sancho and Pulisic have spent most of the season battling each other for a starting spot. The Englishman is ahead in the pecking order but Pulisic said he did not see tonight as a chance to get one over Sancho.

“We both want to perform for our countries and want to win. We are both competitive guys and want to do as well as we can,” he said.

“Playing against each other is going to be really cool.

“Competing with him every day in training, and being good friends off the field, and now getting the chance to play on at international level, is going to be a fun experience.”
