JUNGLE JOHN SNAPS UP PERFECT TEN STARS

- By Andrew Jameson

JOHN Barrowman swam to success in his underwater Bushtucker Trial on I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! last night by winning all 10 food stars for the hungry campmates.

The former Doctor Who star took baby crocs and more than 40 eels in his stride during the Scary Rose sunken ship jungle challenge to bring home the bacon for his colleagues.

John, 51, the first celebrity of the series to win the maximum food possible, secured a tasty alpaca treat for campmates – despite football boss Harry Redknapp’s previous confusion over jungle delicacies like emu.

Meanwhile, hosts Holly Willoughby and Dec Donnelly shocked contestants at the end of last night’s show, ordering all of them to the Bushtucker Trial area, rather than just one being chosen.

Massive

It is expected they will face a special challenge to mark the arrival of TV legend Noel Edmonds into the camp during tonight’s extended 90-minute episode.

The viewers are already declaring Holly a better fit for Dec than absent Ant McPartlin.

The new partnership has been helping to register high ratings for ITV so far. A massive 9.6million tuned in to Tuesday’s episode – beating the 9.55million on Monday and smashing the same episode of the previous series by 1.5million viewers.

Fans are hailing the “irresistible” combo of Holly with cheeky Dec.

Holly has replaced Ant for one year only as he recovers from drug and alcohol addiction.

And even though Holly says she is just “keeping Ant’s seat warm”, some showbiz faces reckon the new duo could be a match made in telly heaven. Former I’m A Celebrity contestant Dom Joly said: “Speak it softly but... I think I prefer hollywills to Ant – never thought that would be possible.”

Harry’s storytelling charm has made him the favourite at the bookies. The ex-Spurs manager, who loves a flutter himself, is being tipped at 5/2 by bookies Ladbrokes, ahead of John at 9/2.

Fans are loving Harry’s down-toearth demeanour and loveable rogue persona.

Meanwhile, back home his football pundit son Jamie is enjoying watching his old man get into scrapes on the box.

During every episode he is posting videos teasing Harry on Instagram.

When his dad said he thought a quail was fish, Jamie said Harry was making himself “look like the brains of Britain”.

Harry had viewers in hysterics when he told John on Monday how he wooed his wife Sandra in a pub called the Two Puddings.
