Nuno hails ‘humble’ Morgan

- By Dave Armitage

WOLVES head coach Nuno Espirito Santo says boy wonder Morgan GibbsWhite will not be causing him problems – on any level.

The 18-year-old midfielder played a starring role to help rock Chelsea 2-1 in the Premier League at Molineux on Wednesday on his full debut.

Now Nuno has to juggle with whether to keep the teenager in for tomorrow’s trip to Newcastle, or order him back to the bench as star man Ruben Neves returns after missing the Chelsea match through suspension. Nuno says that England Under-17s World Cup winner Gibbs-White is so level-headed that keeping his feet on the ground is not an issue.

Nuno said: “He’s played one game and he played very well. How can that be a problem for me?

“It’s fantastic. He plays well, people admire him and our fans are happy. That’s not a problem. I understand why people are excited about him but he has to stay the same boy he is now, very humble.”

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez is pleased the supporters have cancelled their boycott of this clash.

Geordie fans planned a stayaway in front of the

Sky TV cameras in a bid to pressure Mike Ashley into selling up but the Newcastle owner claimed this week that he is in positive talks with several potential buyers, including former Manchester United chief executive Peter Kenyon. Benitez said: “It is positive because they understand the team needs support, they understand that with everyone behind the team it will be better for the long term.

“We will need them from now until the end of the season. It has to be good.”
