That’s not cricket! Star gets an earful in last supper dessert trial
ALL THREE finalists triumphed in last-day jungle trials for boozy three-course meals. But Harry Redknapp needed medical attention to remove a cricket from his ear. Emily Atack won starters and drinks by wearing a Fill Your Face helmet full of critters including giant mealworms and 2,000 crickets. John Barrowman completed the main course Bush Tucker Bonanza trial, eating two beachworms, a dead water spider, a goat’s eye, a fermented duck egg and a bull’s penis.
Harry’s Danger Down Under trial for desserts saw him enter an underground chamber, where he had to stay for five minutes – joined by cockroaches, crickets, mealworms, then rats.
Told he had rats in there, Harry said he was scared and something had gone in his ear, but endured the trial.
Afterwards Medic Bob identified he had a cricket in his ear and swiftly removed it. Later, rice and beans were thankfully off the menu for the celebrities’ last supper.
John ordered pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni, followed by fish and chips with peas, extra chips, ketchup, mayo, tartare sauce, sweet chilli sauce and BBQ sauce.
That was followed by hot fudge sundae, chocolate chip ice cream and two Mars bars.
His treat was a cheeseboard with digestive biscuits and his chosen drink was a double vodka with soda in a pint glass with ice and a lime.
Harry asked for salt and pepper calamari with tartare sauce, a spicy penne arrabiata with Tabasco sauce and chips and sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream.
Baileys with ice was his treat, washed down with a glass of red wine.
Emily had whole baked Camembert, bread, caramelised red onion chutney with vinegar and olive oil, then a cheeseburger with onions, bacon, BBQ sauce and sweet potato fries.
Then came peanut butter, chocolate cheesecake and a glass of dessert wine. Her drink was a rose wine.
