I’M A CELEBRITY hosts Holly Willoughby and Declan Donnelly could not contain their delight yesterday as they headed back to the UK with their children.

Dec, 43, looked every bit the proud father as he held threemonth-old Isla in a baby carrier passing through Brisbane airport.

And after the three-week stint Down Under, Holly, 37, was back on parental duties at the same airport.

She held four-year-old Chester and guided Harry, nine, and Belle, seven.

Spirits

Dec also heaped praise on Holly as she deputised as his cohost in the absence of regular Ant McPartlin, 43.

He said: “There is nobody I would have preferred to have stood next to.”

He revealed that a record peak of 12.1 million viewers tuned in to watch Harry Redknapp crowned the King of the Jungle on Sunday night’s finale.

ITV bosses said that Sunday night’s finale averaged at 10.9 million viewers.

Dec added: “We were thrilled with the ratings too, they are absolutely great. Holly has been fantastic, just brilliant. She was the one I wanted and I am thrilled she did it.”

He was also delighted with the performance of football manager Redknapp, 71.

Dec said: “Harry was absolutely a worthy winner, he has been fantastic all the way through. He has been brilliant at keeping the camp spirits up, his stories were amazing and it is lovely to have a king of the jungle again.

“He is such a worthy one, but also an older guy who has shown that he’s still got plenty to offer and plenty of life in him. So I am thrilled for him.”

All the contestants also flew home yesterday with most including Harry and runner up Emily Atack expected to land in London this morning.
