Embrace my jam roly-poly, pleads curvy Emily
EMILY Atack has hit out at trolls who have targeted her over her size, saying: “We’re all unique.”
The star, who was the runner-up on I’m A Celebrity, landed back in the UK this week.
The 28-year-old Inbetweeners actress shared a photo of herself on Instagram showing off her curves as she walked along the beach in a patterned bikini, left. She said: “Morning mud crabs. Just catching up on everything. I am back in London! Can’t believe the amount of articles and comments about my bod. Some good, some bad. I will never ever use a slimming app ever again. We are all different shapes and sizes. We are all unique. Some have rock hard abs, some have a bit of jam roly-poly, it’s all OK!!!”
Emily has previously revealed how the jungle gave her “self-acceptance”.
Last week she spoke about splitting from her long-time boyfriend and struggling to find work after her early fame.
Speaking to Dec Donnelly and Holly Willoughby after coming second in the show, she said: “I came into the year… I didn’t know what I was doing or where I wanted to go.
“This place has given me such selfacceptance. I worry about things constantly. I’ve learned to accept who I am. This is my skin, my hair, this is what I look like.”
Emily admitted she had spent a “lifetime wearing armour” but, “Coming here I realised I don’t need to be anything other than myself. I’ve been stripped bare and not a single person has judged a bone in my body.”
The result thrilled Emily’s mother, Kate Robbins, also a comedian and actress, who was out in Australia supporting her daughter and mobilising support on social media.
Kate said: “Everyone is discovering the real Emily, it is a little revelation.”
Now Emily’s planned comedy tour Talk Thirty To Me, which starts in April, is close to selling out.
