Four Weddings co-stars reunite for yet another marriage...25 years on

-

IT WILL be 25 years since the film that shot them to stardom but Hugh Grant and Andie MacDowell are defying the years.

Grant and MacDowell, both 58, joined the rest of the cast of 1994’s Four Weddings And A Funeral for the filming of a 12-minute Comic Relief special set to be screened next year.

Producer Richard Curtis’s wife Emma Freud shared pictures yesterday from behind the scenes of the shoot in north London.

MacDowell and Grant will reprise their roles as lovers Carrie and Charles. Also filming were David Haigh, Sophie Thompson, James Fleet and Anna Chancellor, who played Grant’s jilted fiancee “Duckface”, Lily James and Rowan Atkinson as a vicar.

The plot of the reunion film – due to be aired in March on Red Nose Day – is under wraps. It is understood to feature another wedding but it seems Charles will not marry Carrie. Curtis said: “We’re all definitely older – I suspect no wiser.

“Now they get back together for the fifth wedding, where, as usual, not everything will go as planned.”
