Arrested brother’s apology to Duchess
MEGHAN Markle’s half-brother has said sorry to the Duchess after a bust-up saw him held on suspicion of drink-driving.
Thomas Markle Jnr, 52, who has the same father as the Duchess of Sussex, was caught behind the wheel of his truck at 1.33am on Friday.
Markle blamed failing a roadside sobriety test on medication for leg pain. He cannot afford a doctor.
The jobless window fitter revealed that a row with fiancee Darlene Blount, 38, over refusing to leave a fruit machine in a bar made him flee their house in Grants Pass, Oregon. “I didn’t want things to escalate… It was why I was on the road so late.”
The couple have vowed to give up booze after several bust-ups.
“I am genuinely sorry for this shame this has brought on my family, and I hope they, as well as Meghan, can forgive me,” Markle said.
