Soft drinks for hard men

MANY of us are trying to shed a few pounds at this time of year. And opting for a Dry January is one way to achieve this. But although we live in a rapidly changing world most men are still too embarrassed to ask for a salad or be seen propping up a bar with a soft drink in their hand.

What nonsense. Ordering a salad is a sign of strength and there’s something agreeably macho about drinking water when everyone else is on the beers.
