MY HERO of Happiness this week is Eamonn Holmes OBE. I had the pleasure of being on Sky News Sunrise years ago when I was talking about how to get over the misery of Blue Monday – a day in January (it seems to be a movable feast) where we feel down because of the weather, the Christmas bills and the New Year’s resolutions have deflated quicker than the blow-up

Santa. He was warm, welcoming and very friendly to me, a complete rookie, which is the mark of a professional who chooses to be generous and unlofty.

He always seems such a kind and positive force whether presenting with his lovely wife Ruth Langsford or encouraging people on Twitter.

A ray of happiness whatever the day, regardless of the weather.
