Show stealer: Faye’s dance shoes are Strictly souvenir

- By Frances Millar

STRICTLY runner-up Faye Tozer has revealed she “stole” her dance shoes as a memento.

The Steps star, 43, said she secretly stashed the rhinestone encrusted heels after the final show last December.

“I did steal a souvenir, my Strictly show dance shoes, which had been stuck with crystals for me,” Faye said.

“I stuck those in my bag, but you are not allowed to take your costumes.”

Faye reached the 2018 Strictly final four alongside Ashley Roberts, Joe Sugg and Stacey Dooley, who went on to lift the Glitterball trophy with professional partner Kevin Clifton. She will strap on her dance shoes again for the Strictly live tour, which kicks off tonight at the Arena Birmingham.

It then visits Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Glasgow, Nottingham and finishes in London.

The touring couples are: Faye and Giovanni Pernice; Stacey and Aljaz Skorjanec; Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev; Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell; Dr Ranj Singh and Janette Manrara; Lauren Steadman and AJ Pritchard; and Graeme Swann with Karen Clifton.

Ore Oduba, the 2016 Strictly winner, hosts the ballroom extravaganza.

The judges on tour are Strictly regulars Shirley Ballas, Bruno Tonioli, Dame Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood.

After the tour winds up, Faye will launch straight into rehearsals of Still Doin’ It Live – a one-off classical 20th-anniversary celebration of the Channel 4 TV show Queer As Folk.

She will perform anthems accompanied by a 28-piece orchestra at the Albert Hall, Manchester on February 22, before returning to the studio to record a new album with Steps.
