£70,000 on the table for Callum

- By John Cross

CHELSEA have made a last-ditch contract offer to Callum Hudson-Odoi worth a staggering £70,000 a week.

Bayern Munich are desperate to sign the 18-year-old, who has already turned down new contract offers to stay at Stamford Bridge.

And all of the signs remain that HudsonOdoi will quit Chelsea, but they are determined not to let him go without a fight.

The Blues do not want to sell this month and want to keep him until the summer and use the next few months to convince the winger to stay for the long term.

It would be an incredible contract – with a basic of £50,000 a week plus add-ons worth £20,000 a week – bearing in mind HudsonOdoi’s age and stage of his career.

The England starlet, a member of the Under-17s team that won the World Cup, would actually stand to earn less at Bayern but this is not about money but where he will get a chance to play.

Hudson-Odoi has yet to start a Premier League game and has been reluctant to sign a new deal because he fears he will not get an opportunity at Chelsea.

He has seen close pal Jadon Sancho excel at Borussia Dortmund, having also turned down big money to stay at Manchester City. Chelsea know they stand to lose one of English football’s most exciting prospects as Bayern have made several offers, with the last worth £35million.

But Hudson-Odoi is into the last 18 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and the Blues know if he will not sign a new deal then they will have to cut their losses and sell to the highest bidder.
