Holly and Phil roar back after new triumph

- By Mark Jefferies

THIS Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield cleared their heads after a night of celebration at the National Television Awards... as they roared into the studios yesterday on the back of motorbikes.

The pair collected the gong for best daytime show for the ninth year in a row but warned they were feeling the worse for wear.

The show opened with presenter Alison Hammond saying: “We had a big night last night... and it’s all thanks to you.

“Obviously Phil and Holly had the best time last night and I’m not sure where they are.”

The leather-clad hosts then arrived on the back of motorbikes, with Phillip joking: “I’m about to be sick in the helmet,” adding: “That was a hell of a club.”

Holly said to Alison: “You can do the rest of it if you want to, that’s fine by us.”

Speaking of the awards at the 02 Arena in London, she added: “What an amazing night, it is just such a special night. It was a really emotional night,

I was all over the place.

“People think you come here every year but it does mean so much and people say the nicest things.”

Phillip added: “We never take it for granted, we are so grateful and it means so much for us.”

Before going on air Holly warned the show might be

“a little blurry”. She shared a photograph on Instagram of them backstage clutching their award, as Phillip swigs from a hip flask.
