People will cope, just like we did during the last war

-

SO-CALLED scientists predicting 12,000 extra deaths per decade if we end up with a no-deal Brexit really is Project Fear gone mad.

Good health is threatened more by spending too much on food.

There is so much seaweed to be gathered for free, along with healthy cockles, mussels, oysters and clams all around our coasts.

Or we could eat more root vegetables, as we did during the war. I never had a “fresh” banana until I was six.

After so much wartime death and injury, we all felt lucky to be alive and most people wanted to look after their own health instead of following some unfounded diktat from on high.

Fresh fruit and vegetables could so easily be afforded by everyone, if we all reduced our spending on on-screen entertainment and watching football and did a bit more thinking for ourselves.
