Unhealthy ideas on a good diet
CHILDREN think a Jaffa Cake is packed with more Vitamin C than an orange, according to a survey.
But more than half of youngsters think they should be tucking into more fruit and more vegetables, according to research by Mr Men Little Miss and Haliborange.
The research involving 80,000 youngsters aged five to 12 also indicated 17 per cent of parents felt if they were better at cooking their children would end up eating more healthy food.
More than half of parents struggle to engage their children in the importance of eating healthily.
It has led Mr Men Little Miss and Haliborange to produce a series of interactive events to give children the skills to learn more about healthy eating and nutrition through games and fun cookery classes.
There will be events taking place at the IO Centre, Skeffington Street, London, on Thursday and Friday.
