Hollywood sisters...Jackie, left, and Joan Collins in 2009 THE incredible lives of Joan and Jackie Collins will be made into a smash-hit TV drama, it was revealed last night.

Joan And Jackie will tell the inside story of the glamorous sisters, charting their lives from post-war London to the glitz and glamour of Beverly Hills.

No one has yet been approached to play the indomitable duo.

Five-times-married Dame Joan, now 85, was the highestpaid female star on TV when she played vengeful, scheming Alexis Colby in the iconic US 1980s soap Dynasty.

She is now an ambassador for Dame Esther Rantzen’s charity The Silver Line, which helps lonely and vulnerable older people.

Jackie, who died of breast cancer aged 77 in 2015, was awarded a record-breaking $1million (£765,000) advance for her “bonkbuster” novel Hollywood Wives. She went on to sell more than 500 million books and wrote the novels behind two of Joan’s films, The Stud and The Bitch.

Producers say the drama lays bare the “ultimate Hollywood fantasy”, telling how the sisters battled a lifetime of sexism, harassment and ageism.

A “delighted” Dame Joan said: “I know my sister Jackie would be as excited as I am to be involved.” Jackie’s daughters, Tiffany and Tracy Lerman, said: “Our mother told us when we were growing up that ‘girls can do anything’. Joan And Jackie will fabulously depict how true that is.”

Playwright Penelope Skinner, who will pen the series, said: “There is far more to Joan and Jackie than diamonds and shoulder pads. These are very special sisters whose lives are aspirational and inspirational.”
