PERFECT MIX AT THE BRITS

- By Hannah Britt

HUGH Jackman and Little Mix led a parade of stars on the red carpet at the 29th Brit Awards last night.

The Australian actor looked dapper in a tuxedo while the British girl group showcased their figures in sleek floor-length gowns at London’s O2 Arena.

Singer Dua Lipa, 23, paired a black lace bodice featuring a plunging neckline with an eye-catching hot pink skirt.

And model Abbey Clancy, 33, cradled her growing baby bump as she posed in a glittering green dress.

Pregnant soap star Gemma Atkinson, 34, who is expecting her first child with Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka Marquez, looked glamorous in a fitted one-shoulder black dress.

Speaking to Capital’s Marvin Humes last night, Jackman, 50, revealed he will be joined by Robbie Williams on his world tour later this year.

The actor is hitting the road in May for an arena tour which will see him perform songs from his hit film The Greatest Showman as well as tunes from Les Miserables and other Broadway classics. He said: “Robbie’s going to join me at one point.”

The tour, entitled The Man. The Music. The Show, will arrive in the UK in May.

The cream of the music industry enjoyed the glitzy ceremony, hosted once again by comic Jack Whitehall.

Little Mix and Sam Fender took to the stage, with the latter picking up one of the David Adjaye-designed statues for this year’s Critics’ Choice Award.

The big winner of the night was The 1975, who took home the award for Best British Group.

Despite having been nominated 16 times Scots-born DJ Calvin Harris, 35, had never won a Brit Award. But last night he picked up two.

US singer Ariana Grande collected the gong for Best International Female.

Rapper Drake took Best International Male and Best International Group went to The Carters – Jay Z and Beyonce’s super duo.

For a second year in a row the Global Success award went to Ed Sheeran, whose Divide tour broke records in 2018, raking in £342million.

After collecting the award for Outstanding Contribution To Music, Pink closed the show.
