CHEMICAL PEEL

WHAT HAPPENS: There are various peel depths.
A mild glycolic peel will take just a few days to heal, although you may need a course of four to six to achieve best results. A deep, one-off peel can achieve spectacular results but will take up to 10 days to heal. Costs from £100 per peel. TOP TIP: Stop any retinol usage at least a week before a peel as this may affect the absorption of any acid that’s applied. After treatment wear SPF50 every day.
VEIN BLASTER
WHY NOW: Vein removal has to be done on skin that isn’t tanned (including fake tan).
Compression tights are needed for two weeks after treatment and you can bruise or develop temporary discolouration. Direct sunlight on treated areas should be avoided.
Depending on the number of veins treated, it can be a lengthy process. A treatment course is usually required.
WHAT HAPPENS: Leg veins are injected with a chemical solution that causes them to collapse.
Treatment takes up to 30 minutes and can be slightly uncomfortable.
