Clue’s in blue... it’s a boy for Myleene

- By Frances Millar

OH BOY! Classical musician and broadcaster Myleene Klass is expecting her first son.

The 41-year-old announced she was pregnant in February, but kept fans in suspense over the sex until Saturday’s star-studded baby shower.

Myleene shared a photo showing her in front of a “Baby Klass” blue balloon display, and said: “What an incredible day. I’m so immensely lucky to have the friends and family I have.”

Former Hear’Say singer Myleene, her PR boss partner Simon Motson and daughters Ava, 11, and Hero, eight, were joined by pals including Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway, former X Factor host Kate Thornton and All Saints singers Natalie and Nicole Appleton.

Newly confirmed Desert Island Discs radio host, Lauren Laverne, kept everyone entertained with some tunes.

Myleene also shared a snap of a cake with “Oh Boy” in gold icing and a sugar stork.

Even a sprinkling of rain did not dampen spirits, with Ms Garraway, 52, and Nicole, 44, in fits of giggles as they sheltered under napkins.

Underneath Myleene’s post, Ms Thornton, 46, added: “We love you! And to see you full of love and surrounded by love is a beautiful thing and everything you deserve.”

Lauren, 41, posted: “To see all of you glowing with happiness makes my heart sing.” Natalie, 46, told Myleene: “You looked absolutely fabulous, honey.”

The baby will be Myleene’s first with Simon. Her daughters’ father is celebrity bodyguard Graham Quinn, who dumped Myleene on her 34th birthday after six months of marriage.

Myleene recently told how she and Simon are planning more children.

She joked: “Oh my God, he loves me pregnant. I mean, I always wanted a big family. He wants a big family.

“Nobody will ever invite us anywhere ever

again!”
