Starbucks EMEA Ltd – Correction

IN our article, “Starbucks UK tax bill ‘sticks in the gullet’” published June 28, 2019, we incorrectly reported that Starbucks EMEA Ltd, which collects royalties from franchisees, paid £15million in UK corporation tax last year on profits of £200million – a rate of just 7.5 per cent. In fact, the taxable profits were £84million and together with five other related companies, they paid a combined amount of £18.6m in tax – a rate of 23.7 per cent.
