EastEnders fans’ dismay as Tamzin quits...again

EASTENDERS star Tamzin Outhwaite is to exit Albert Square this autumn, just 18 months after her comeback.

Her character Mel Owen returned to Walford after a 16-year break – but yesterday the actress, 48, said she had only meant to stay for a year and now wants to “pursue other challenges”.

Disappointed fans took to Twitter. “The best ones always quit or leave,” wrote one. Another said: “I don’t wanna see this on my feed because I don’t want to believe it’s true.”
