Retired public servants should honour our vote

SIR John Major has threatened to seek a judicial review in order to prevent the suspension of Parliament, a tactic that could well (he hopes) avoid a no-deal Brexit and keep us tied to the EU forever (“John Major told to ‘keep quiet’ after legal threat to Johnson”, July 11).

Why do some of our retired ex-public servants insist on trying to overturn a democratic majority decision to leave the EU?
