Spoilt spaniel’s high life

BRACKEN the Sprocker spaniel sounds like he may be Britain’s most pampered pooch with his £5 weekly allowance, his own wallet and regular trips to buy toys. His story, though, reminds us that Britain is a nation of not just dog lovers but all animals.

No wonder we have the highest standards on animal care and tackling cruelty of anywhere in the world. Not all pooches are as well off as Bracken but it reminds us of why it’s a pretty fine country in which to live for both animals and people.
