Attempting to pull him into line a little bit, Phil gives Ben a hard time about his recent behaviour. A mysterious birthday gift arrives for Bobby and leaves Ian and Kathy curious as to what it is and who it is from. Stuart overhears Jack talking about the trouble he is in and hatches a plan, while Whitney is alarmed when Tiffany (Maisie Smith, left) admits that she is about to move back to Milton Keynes. Sonia plans a party, hoping it will bring Kat and Stacey back together.

We are nearing the end of the series and in tonight’s penultimat­e episode Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell (above) help Martin Smith, who struggled with feelings of rejection when he learnt he was adopted and only now feels ready to face his fears and find his birth mother. Also featured is Anne Jordan who knew she was adopted and has been searching for her birth mother for more than 30 years.

Documentar­y: Dispatches: £2 MIllion Passport – Welcome to Britain, C4, 8pm

It is almost impossible to remember a time when immigratio­n has not been under the spotlight but as we move into the second half of 2019 the issue is more central and more divisive than ever before. While many people trying to settle in the UK face personal risks and a hostile reception, this programme reveals an altogether different welcome if you happen to have a few million pounds to spare. Reporter Antony Barnett (left) investigat­es the so-called ‘golden’ visa scheme that offers British residency to wealthy foreign nationals who are willing to invest £2 million into the country. This show is bound to provoke some intense reactions.

Documentar­y: Panorama: America’s Abortion War, BBC1, 8.30pm

Hilary Andersson (above) reports from America’s Deep South, the frontline in the battle over abortion rights with 12 US states trying to push through new laws challengin­g women’s rights. At one of the last abortion clinics in Alabama she talks to doctors and patients about what the ban would mean to them, and meets campaigner­s who believe abortion is evil. Film: Star Trek Beyond, Film4, 9pm The brilliant Simon Pegg co-wrote this sci-fi adventure film which stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto (right, as Spock) and Idris Elba. The USS Enterprise sets out on a rescue mission which turns out to be a deadly trap set by a mysterious warlord. The crew are left stranded on an unexplored planet, and join forces with a fugitive alien scavenger to find a way off the hostile world and stop a huge weapon being unleashed upon the galaxy. Not the worst spin-off you will see.
