Protesters paralyse Hong Kong’s airport
HONG KONG’s international airport ground to a halt yesterday as 5,000 anti-government protesters staged a sit-in over the extradition bill and the shooting of a woman activist.
All flights were cancelled in the fourth day of disruption.
Campaigners are opposed to people accused of crimes being extradited to mainland China. They are also calling for more democracy and an end to police brutality.
“This is about our freedom,” said a 24-year-old who only gave his name as Yu.
