Shooting survival classes for infants
AMERICAN children are being taught how to respond in the event of a mass shooting at their school.
Pupils including those at kindergarten age are shown how to barricade classroom doors and perform first-aid, and self-defence techniques.
In simulations they practise how to disarm a gunman and hold him on the ground.
This year there have been 22 shootings at US schools in which someone has been injured or killed.
The bloodshed has led Pinnacle Charter School in Thornton, Colorado, to hire a self-defence consultancy.
“No one wants to be a victim anymore,” said Joe Deedon, owner of Tac*One Consulting.
