Why I won’t be Holden back on those revealing outfits by TV’s Amanda

- By Ashleigh Rainbird

AMANDA Holden has vowed to keep wearing revealing dresses on Britain’s Got Talent – because she has her mother’s blessing.

The talent show judge and Heart Radio DJ has suffered a barrage of complaints about plunging necklines and thigh-high splits.

But Judith, 69, who is preparing to plummet 10,000ft in a charity skydive with her daughter next week thinks she looks just fine.

Amanda, 48, revealed her mum said: “Ooh, let them talk. You look better than girls half your age.”

However, she said her mother doesn’t share her fondness for skimpy outfits – Amanda has promised to jump topless from the plane if a sponsor offers £1million.

Swore

She said: “When she was 48 she wouldn’t have dared wear a mini skirt... she’s of the era where you wouldn’t dare get your knees out if you were nearly 50. Whereas I look at Kylie and J-Lo and think, well if she’s still doing it, I’m still doing it.”

Judith has strict instructions from Amanda’s bosses at Global radio to ensure there are no accidental four letter outbursts when the pair leap from a plane. The pair will be joined by Amanda’s sister Debbie to leap from a 120mph plane – and it will air on the star’s radio show.

On BGT this year, Amanda accidentally swore live on air and received 56 Ofcom complaints.

She said: “I’m a bit of a potty mouth. My mum always says it sounds good when I swear because I’ve got a posh accent.”

The charity jump, over Brackley, Northants, is in aid of Global’s Make Some Noise campaign.

Amanda added. “I’d actually do it naked if someone donated £1million. But I would wear shorts.” The Make Some Noise charities include childhood bereavement charity Hold On Letting Go.

Amanda – mum to Hollie, seven, and 13-year-old Lexi – was seriously ill after giving birth to her youngest daughter, so the charity is close to her heart.

She said: “When I thought I might not be around for my own children, it’s the worst feelings as a mother Anything where children are experiencing bereavement really breaks my heart.”

Global’s Make Some Noise helps small charities. To donate £10, £20 or £30 text AMANDA10, AMANDA20 or AMANDA30 to 70766.
