Piers turns air blue after losing TV gong
PIERS Morgan labelled Phillip Schofield and Holly-Willoughby “snivelling little b ***** ds” at the TV Choice Awards, after Good Morning Britain lost out to This Morning for Best Daytime Show.
The GMB host shocked the audience when he shouted “f*** you and f*** your awards” after the pair collected their gong and gushed enthusiastically about how much they loved each other.
In a tongue-in-cheek jibe Piers, 54, told them sarcastically: “I just want to say how thrilled I am for everybody at This Morning. ‘Love you so much’ – actually, I don’t love you. I hate you, you snivelling little b ***** ds. Every time we come to these things I get told it’s our time.
“It’s never our time. It’s always their time. F*** you and f*** your awards.We are all one big happy family. Are we f***!”
Accepting the daytime honour, Schofield told his co-host Willoughby: “I love you by the way.” When she said she felt the same, he added: “It’s like working with Marilyn Monroe.”
Morgan was on stage to present Lorraine Kelly with her Outstanding Contribution award. He told the audience: “The one thing worse than losing an award is having to come up here and give one to somebody else, particularly when it’s ‘one of the family’.
“Truthfully I would rather shoot myself than do this under normal circumstances which is ironic given my strong views on gun control.”
But then he became serious and paid tribute to Kelly, saying: “She’s one of the most genuine nice people in this shallow, bitchy world of backstabbing little b ***** ds.
“Viewers love her and she loves them. She is their friend.”
