Silva on brink after drubbing
EVERTON manager Marco Silva is on the brink of the sack after Everton were run ragged by leaders Liverpool last night. The Toffees were of no match for their neighbours, who put on a five-star display without Mo Salah or Roberto Firmino. Silva’s side are languishing in the relegation zone and fans were last night calling for the Portuguese to go.
MARCUS RASHFORD made it a miserable Manchester United return for Jose Mourinho with two goals.
Mourinho returned to Old Trafford as a manager for the first time since he was sacked by United a year ago.
But Rashford scored in either half, the second from the penalty spot, to condemn Mourinho to his first defeat as Tottenham boss.

ENGLISH cricket is in mourning after the death of former Test captain and Ashes hero Bob Willis at 70.
As a stellar cast of England legends paid tribute to fast bowler Willis, who took 325 wickets in 90 Tests, Raymond Illingworth – the skipper who gave him his debut in Australia as a raw 21-year-old – said: “He was a captain’s dream.”
Ex-England captain Nasser Hussain tweeted: “Great cricketer... even better bloke.”
Willis, who passed away after a long battle against prostate cancer, remains the fourthhighest wickettaker in England’s
Test history behind only James Anderson, Stuart Broad and
Sir Ian Botham.
Indisputably, his finest hour was the sensational 8-43 that skittled the Aussies at the miracle of Headingley in 1981, where Botham’s all-round feats had seemed invincible.
Botham, who is understood to have visited Willis within the last week as his health deteriorated, was “devastated” last night after learning of his friend’s death.
