WILLIAM: We must all move on from life’s challenges
THE Duke of Cambridge held out an olive branch to Prince Harry yesterday.
Two days after the brothers met at a family summit at Sandringham to discuss Harry and Meghan quitting the Firm, William spoke of the need to break down barriers.
During a day of engagements in Bradford, he said: “It’s sometimes trying to get people to understand that’s it’s OK to have these challenges.
“We just need to deal with them and we need to move forward rather than just be stuck in paralysis and pretend they don’t happen.”
His comments were meant to be focused on bringing communities together, but a senior royal source indicated it was fair to interpret them as a reference to the difficulties facing the Royal Family.
Prince William, 37, and Kate, 38, met community groups at the Khidmat Centre and were greeted by 1,000 people outside Bradford’s City Hall.
The Duchess wore the Zeen earrings she sported on a tour of Pakistan in October. She matched them with a £15.99 Zara dress and McQueen coat.
Bookmakers have speculated about the couple adding a fourth child to their family, but Kate told one fan: “I don’t think William wants any more.”
The couple also met British boxer Amir Khan, who implored them to “sit together and resolve the situation” with Harry and Meghan.
The former world champion seemed to dismiss suggestions Meghan had been the victim of racism, saying: “She will always be welcome because the people in Britain are very loving.”
Khan, 33, met the Cambridges at the My Lahore restaurant, where the royals made traditional kulfi and lassi drinks. The visit came as aides work to put together the final pieces of a deal to allow the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to embark on a new independent life.
