Aged 62... Nikki is the model of style

- By News Reporter

A BUSINESSWOMAN has shown age will not dim her love of a glamorous wardrobe after becoming a social media sensation at 62.

Part-time model Nikki Redcliffe’s affection for looking the part started when she was a child and would spend all her pocket money on fashion.

It followed her through university and into her career as a marketing executive in the cosmetics industry.

It was when she hit her 50s that Nikki began developing her own style and gathered a huge following on the internet.

She began posting photos of her vintage-style wardrobe on Instagram and discovered a whole community dedicated to bringing back the fashion of the 1940s and

1950s and she now has 29,000 followers and a modelling contract.

She is using her platform to prove that just being past the age of 50, doesn’t make someone irrelevant or invisible.

Nikki, a mother of three from Brighton, said: “I was always obsessed with clothes and fashion, even as a small child. In my teens I spent every penny on my wardrobe and I still consider my Saturday job at Biba to be the best job I ever had. “I have found ageing to be very liberating and I love the freedom I now have to do what I want, wear what I want, be the person I want to be.

“I’m happier now than at any point in life. My 20s and 30s had many high points, particularly becoming a mother, but I wouldn’t want to change places and go through it all again. I am filled with excitement about what lies ahead.”

Nikki said that her physique and complexion is a result of “fortunate genes’ rather than dieting or exercise and insists that she has never been a “great foodie”, and intermittently fasts unintentionally.
