BRITAIN’S youngest female murderer faces staying locked up indefinitely after she plotted to kill a fellow inmate.

Evil Sharon Carr – dubbed the Devil’s Daughter – has lost a legal attempt for cushier conditions after her twisted fantasies were revealed.

Campaigners are calling on the authorities to “throw away the key”.

Carr, 40, was just 12 when she knifed stranger 18-year-old Katie Rackliff to death.

She is serving life in tough HMP Bronzefield, near Staines in Surrey, as a “restricted status” prisoner, meaning she is regularly kept in strict isolation.

Carr failed in her bid to relax those conditions after it was discovered she dreamed of slaughtering another inmate.

A High Court judge has denied the killer permission to appeal, leaving her with the prospect of staying permanently in the high security unit.

Mr Justice Julian Knowles ruled there would be risks if Carr was moved.

He wrote: “She had disclosed thoughts of wanting to murder another resident by splitting her head open with a flask and throwing her down the

A TOWN’S church bells are ringing for the first time in decades, thanks to a grant of nearly £100,000.

One of them has now been named Lottie in recognition of the National Lottery gift and 19 volunteers aged 18 to 70 are being trained as ringers.

The eight bells of Grade I-listed St Peter’s in Ruthin, North Wales, date back to the mid-1800s but have stayed largely silent since the 1970s.

The £96,300 lottery grant for the £191,000 project also made it possible to restore a “curfew bell”, which warned people to be indoors by 8pm or face a spell in jail, said ringer Peter Furniss who is on the church’s stairs to snap her neck, whilst also being involved in an altercation with another resident, with whom she had previously been in a relationship.” Schoolgirl Carr picked hairdresser Katie at random as she walked home from a nightclub in June 1992. She stabbed her 32 times with such ferociously police thought the attacker was male. Two years later, she struck again and attacked another schoolgirl with a restoration committee. The bell was in such bad shape it could be rung only weekly from the mid-1970s.

Mr Furniss said: “Thanks to this funding we’ve not only been able to restore that bell but add an electronic mechanism so it chimes automatically at 8pm every day.

“Though of course, we won’t be throwing anyone in jail for staying outdoors after hours any more.” knife in Camberley, Surrey. But while in a young offenders’ institute for the second attack – where she also tried to strangle two nurses – Carr began bragging about killing Katie.

Police were alerted and she was convicted in March 1997. Her diaries seized by officers were packed with sickening boasts about the murder.

She wrote: “I wish I could kill you again. I would make you suffer more. Your terrified screams turn me on.

“I swear I was born to be a murderer. Killing for me is a mass turnon and it makes me so high. Every night, I see the Devil in my dreams.”

Carr claimed her rights were breached when officials decided in a private meeting not to relax her conditions. But Mr Justice Knowles denied permission to seek a judicial review, adding: “The claim is not in my view arguable.”

The court heard evidence that Carr formed “intense relationships with females that turned into violent fantasies when thwarted”.

Katie’s mum Helen has always insisted that she is never released.

And campaigner Lynne Baird, 63, whose son Daniel, 26, was murdered in Birmingham, said: “Carr shouldn’t have the opportunity to even smell freedom. I don’t doubt for a second that she would kill again. The best thing is to throw away the key.”
