ROCKER Ozzy Osbourne has been forced to cancel a trip to Europe to begin Parkinson’s disease treatment.

Wife Sharon, 67, revealed he had been due to fly to Switzerland from their home in Los Angeles before the coronavirus crisis hit.

She said: “We’re fine compared to a lot of people but I just think it’s a really frightening time to be alive.

“I cry every day when I watch the death toll go up and more and more people catch this virus. I’m just devastated by it – heartbroken.”

Ozzy, 71, had hoped to receive some respite from the effects of his condition – which causes tremors – by checking into the Swiss clinic next Wednesday.

Experts work on boosting patients’ immune systems before trying additional treatments.

The Birmingham-born former Black Sabbath singer has insisted he

has a “mild form” of the illness. But the delay increases the likelihood that his UK and European tour – which starts in Newcastle upon Tyne in October – will be scrapped. The US leg has already been postponed.

Former X Factor judge Sharon also told a US TV show that daughter Aimee, 36, needed emergency surgery to remove a burst appendix at the weekend.

She added: “It’s just the worst time to be in a hospital but she’s fine now. She’s out of pain and recuperating.”

Daughter Kelly, 35, who is also a TV personality, told her social media followers that she was social distancing from both her parents and had not seen them for three weeks.

She said: “The truth is I’m scared too. Both of my parents are high-risk, especially my dad.”
