KATE’S ADORABLE PHOTOS AS CHARLOTTE TURNS FIVE TODAY:
PRINCESS Charlotte has been helping vulnerable people with meals on wheels in the run-up to her fifth birthday today.
The adorable little princess joined the rest of her family in making, packing and delivering food parcels for residents near the Sandringham royal estate in Norfolk.
It is understood Charlotte has enjoyed surprising isolated pensioners stuck at home during the coronavirus lockdown – while maintaining social distancing.
Her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, photographed her taking the parcels to people’s front doors earlier this week when the royal children joined William and Kate on a delivery run to nearby villages.
It is part of a wider initiative by staff at the Queen’s 20,000-acre estate to provide hundreds of meals to those in need in neighbouring villages during the past five weeks.
In the first seven days, estate workers made and delivered 1,000 meals.
Kate’s images of her daughter were released by Kensington Palace last night to mark the fourth in line to the throne’s birthday.
It is understood two-year-old Prince Louis stayed at home but Prince George, six, joined his sister on the delivery run.
They all got soaked in the pouring rain delivering the food parcels for over two hours earlier this week, residents said.
William and Kate and their children made some of the food at home, including pasta dishes.
Charlotte joined in making the food and helped deliver around a dozen bags of pasta.
The Cambridge family have been based at Anmer Hall, their 10-bedroom house about three miles from Sandringham House, since just before the lockdown began.
They have been combining volunteering with home schooling their children and undertaking official royal duties via video calls. A source who knows the Cambridges well, said: “They regularly cook together as a family and were happy to help out the national volunteering effort.”
