You might find it “Quite Interestin­g” to know that we are now on to Series R and with that in mind we must inform you that the first instalment is really rather rude. Sandi Toksvig hosts the return and as usual the questions are so difficult that points are awarded for the answers she finds the most fascinatin­g. With her for the Rude episode are John Barrowman, Phill Jupitus, Aisling Bea and Alan Davies (all above).

Nature: Springwatc­h, BBC2, 8pm

It will not have been the original plan when locations were discussed but, live from their home bases in the New Forest, Cornwall, West Wales and the River Thames, Chris Packham, Gillian Burke, Iolo Williams and Steve Backshall share the latest stories from the wildlife cameras. Packham (left) reveals how fish have more ways of making sound than any other vertebrate on the planet while Williams discusses the intimate secrets of the bird families he has been following.

Documentar­y: The Real Marigold Hotel, BBC1, 9pm

The fourth set of celebritie­s to embark on a spiritual journey across India bring the curtain down on their trip tonight. Saying goodbye to Puducherry, they journey north to the foothills of the Himalayas for their final week. Following a treacherou­s drive up narrow roads, they arrive at their new home near Rishikesh, ready to experience the spiritual side of life in Northern India. After starting the next day with an outdoor group meditation session among the wild monkeys and spectacula­r views, Duncan Bannatyne and John Altman (left) waste no time in exploring the bustling town of Rishikesh, which attracts thousands of pilgrims from all over the world.

Travel: Martin Clunes: My Travels And Other Animals, ITV, 8.30pm

Doc Martin himself, Martin Clunes (above), learns about numerous differing aspects of animal exploitati­on tonight. He visits Sri Lanka, where fishing for manta rays is legal, but a turtle sanctuary offers hope. In Thailand, he learns more about silk production and on the Australian Friday Island, he is shown the delicate art of growing pearls.

Film: Non-Stop, Film4, 6.55pm

Action thriller, guns, Liam Neeson (right), bad guys – tick, tick, tick, tick. An air marshal on board a transatlan­tic flight receives some cryptic messages in which an anonymous terrorist threatens to kill one passenger every 20 minutes unless a ransom is paid. He searches the plane for the criminals responsibl­e but his investigat­ion is threatened when he is framed as the mastermind of the plot. Action thriller, co-starring Julianne Moore and Lupita Nyong’o.
