The film that launched the career of Michael Caine tells the incredible true story of the battle of Rorke’s Drift in Natal in January 1879 during the Anglo-Zulu war.

Caine and Stanley Baker play British officers leading 140 soldiers charged with defending a remote former trading post against more than 3,000 Zulu warriors.

Hugely thrilling and exciting, director Cy Endfield wrings every last drop of tension out of the story. Jack Hawkins and James Booth head the supporting cast and Richard Burton provides the narration.
