GLASGOW Rocks have slammed the decision not to award them the title after the British Basketball League cancelled the remainder of the 2019-20 season due to the pandemic.

Glasgow were four points clear of London Lions, having played one game more, when the season was halted.

In a statement, the BBL said clubs had “unanimously agreed” to the cancellation.

Glasgow called the decision “disappointing but not in the least bit surprising”and said that they “had proved themselves to be the strongest team in the Championship”.
