Cut-price Luiz deal
ARSENAL are ready to offer David Luiz a one-year contract extension but on reduced terms.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen to keep the centre-half, 33, whose deal expires on June 30.
Luiz’s agent Kia Joorabchian has said there is a “very high chance” the Brazilian will stay after talks on a new contract.
Luiz joined Arsenal from Chelsea last summer for £8million on £130,000 a week for one year, with a 12-month option.
But the current financial deal could mean he is offered a contract based more on appearances and other incentives.
All sides are keen to reach a compromise.
