I’m absolutely stunned
lack of communication between the Premier League and the EFL.
Hoos said: “I’m absolutely stunned by this announcement.
“I’m appalled. There was no vote. There has been no consultation with clubs or the Championship doctors’ working group.
“We are vehemently opposed to this schedule. The players haven’t even returned to full-contact training.
“We have to integrate the Premier League and the EFL. It needs Government intervention. We have not had any leadership from the EFL. Maybe we need an umbrella body.”
But one executive said: “They should just get on with it. We have been gearing up to June 20 for weeks.”
Charlton manager Lee Bowyer, however, revealed that three of his players – Lyle Taylor, Chris Solly and David Davis – have said they will not play.
