Star Trek star William Shatner boldy goes for a cannabis cure
WILLIAM Shatner says he is using cannabis extracts to treat aches and pains brought on by age.
The Star Trek legend, 89, described the treatment as “magical” and said it is helping to soothe his swollen joints.
CBD and THC are compounds known as cannabinoids, found in the cannabis plant, and are legal in parts of the US under certain conditions.
William admitted that his age has taken it’s toll, so he turned to CBD treatment as a way to help his aching body. He said: “I’ve got some aches and pains I didn’t have a few years ago.
“But I’m finding out there are many things that help aches and pains that we didn’t know about just a few years ago – THC and CBD, and that kind of thing.”
He added: “Have you used it? It’s magical. I’ve had swollen joints.
“You rub some on where it hurts and, while you’re rubbing it on, the pain disappears.”
