The claustrophobic effect of lockdown creates tension between Sam and Lydia this evening. With Samson stuck on his school trip and Mandy and Vinny turfed out, the pair are left with just each other for company. Sam won’t let Lydia (Karen Blick, left) out of the house and it’s clear he’s concerned about something. However, fed-up with only sausages and mash for tea, she ventures out to the shop and when he finds out he is furious. Out of character, he snaps at her and the mood sours.
