Patel has shut stable door after the horse has bolted

WE really must be the laughing stock of the world (“Quarantine will save lives vows Priti”, June 4).

Most other countries insisted on incoming flight passengers self-isolating at the start of the pandemic. Now when (hopefully) the worst is over here, they are being asked to do just that.

My grandson was “holed up” in a hotel for two weeks, at his government’s expense, when he returned toAustralia.Talk about locking the stable door.
