Her appeal is timeless, say sisters
A CLASSICAL music duo who played on Dame Vera Lynn’s final album say she will continue to win more fans.
Sisters Sarah and Laura Ayoub said she made “timeless” records that appealed to all generations.
Sarah, 28, and Laura, 24, have been applauded for their performances as the Ayoub Sisters.
But they say they owe much of their high profile to their appearance on 100, Dame Vera’s chart-topping Centenary album in 2017.
Laura said: “I don’t think there’s anything generational about her music. It’s stood the test of time.”
Sarah added: “It was such a great collaborative project to be part of.”
