Bilic bags a bargain in Pereira

SLAVEN BILIC believes Brazilian Matheus Pereira will prove a £8.25million bargain when he triggers a permanent move to West Brom today.

Pereira, right, has excelled on loan from Sporting Lisbon for an initial £750,000 fee and is due to sign long-term after his 30th Championship start this afternoon. Baggies manager Bilic said: “He wasn’t a known player before but he now looks like a bargain. He hit the ground and it looks like an extremely great deal.”

Birmingham boss Pep Clotet insists the Blues will not take “their foot off the gas” despite revealing that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
