LOSING SANE WILL BE A BLOW SAYS GUARDIOLA
PEP GUARDIOLA says he will be “disappointed” to lose Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich this summer.
The Manchester City manager conceded his flying winger seems hell-bent on leaving after rejecting all the club’s offers of a new deal.
He said: “I’m so disappointed. When we make an offer, it’s because we want him, he has a special quality.
“We tried [to extend his deal] before the injury and he rejected it.
If we get an agreement he’ll leave, if not he’ll stay one more year.”
Bayern are understood to have offered £30million for a player who has 12 months left on his contract.
Sane is thought to have agreed personal terms on a five-year deal in Germany, but City valued him at more than £100m last summer.
The club’s hierarchy have indicated they are willing to let Sane run down his contract.
