Ben must be greedy after super strike

- By Dave Armitage

BRENDAN RODGERS has urged Ben Chilwell to develop a greedy streak and cash in with goals.

The £80million-rated Chelsea target scored with a 90th-minute wonder strike at Watford on Saturday and Leicester manager Rodgers wants more.

Ahead of tonight’s home clash with Brighton, Rodgers said: “Sometimes you just need that bit of a ruthless streak to not pass to a team-mate and have a go. It was a wonderful strike.”

It was only the third time Chilwell has hit the net this season but Rodgers added: “He has the talent to score more. He has all the qualities, a wonderful left foot and great power.

“I’ve been delighted with him since he came back.”

The Foxes boss has told his men to keep their eye on the prize as they prepare to slug out the season fighting on two fronts.

It is a big week. Leicester are third in the Premier League, chasing Champions League football, and also have an FA Cup quarter-final clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

Rodgers is under no illusions that he can ever match the fairy-tale Premier League title win four years ago.

“We know our objectives and we’ve got plenty to play for to try and achieve what we want,” said Rodgers.

“We want to finish in the top four and try to go as far as we can in the cup. The important thing is not to worry.

“I mentioned to the players the other week not to let the sense of excitement get diluted by the enforced break.

“I said, ‘You can never beat what happened here a few years ago. But you can write your own story. We have a chance to achieve something special’.”
