Brits will be staged next May
BRIT Awards organisers will stage the annual event three months later next year.
The celebration of the UK music industry is usually held in February but will be delayed until May 11 due to the impact of coronavirus.
Awards’ chief executive Geoff Taylor said: “We want to make sure The Brits delivers the biggest night in music. We are planning a spectacular event that will remind us how important music has been in getting us all through these difficult times.”
It comes as The Ivors, which celebrates songwriting and composing, announced it will no longer hold a physical ceremony at Grosvenor House in London on September 2.
But winners will be announced on that date. The event was postponed from May due to the pandemic.
