The long arm of the law is tied behind officers’ backs

-

AN honest and true picture of the state of law and order and our police forces in the UK was depicted by Carole Malone in her Daily Express column last Saturday.

It would be easy to suggest that the buck stops with Home Secretary Priti Patel but of course this is not true. Her hands are tied by the unseen, unknown within the upper echelons of the state.

A large part of the problem we have lies at the door of the most senior police officers who are afraid of causing offence to all and sundry.

With regard to our current situation Carole sums it up in a few words, “It’s been coming for years”.
